Health Care Directive Presentation Wednesday, May 30 at 2 PM

Jennifer Koeppl of Koeppl Law Offices, Wild Rose, will be presenting information to assist individuals in completing their Health Care Power of Attorney form at the Poy Sippi Public Library from 2 – 3 PM on Wednesday, May 30.2018.

During this interactive presentation, she will go through the Wisconsin Health Care Power of Attorney form, answer questions and assist attendees with the completion of the form.  Items which will be discussed are which boxes to check for specific agent authority and why, as well as providing instructions for family embers regarding end of life care.

Says Attorney Koeppl, “Many do not realize that in Wisconsin, next of kin does not have legal authority to make health care decisions for loved ones in the event of an incapacity or inability to communicate.  Many individuals and family members find this out when it is too late and there is a crisis with a loved one.”

This event is free and open to the public.  For more information contact the Director at 920-787-5737.

Libraries ROCK! Kickoff POLKA PARTY, June 11 - Albright Polka Band and Other Fun Events

It won't be long and summer will be here.  Be sure to save the date for the Poy Sippi Library Summer Reading Program kick off on Monday evening, June 11.  With this year's theme being music, we're going to have a POLKA PARTY!  We are excited to have the Albright Polka Band perform for us.  Our Polka Party will be held in the park in Poy Sippi, with Larry and the band playing from 6 - 7 pm.  Everyone is invited!  The Summer Reading Program is not just for kids, adults are encouraged to participate. We will be hosting more "Libraries Rock" on Monday mornings, starting June18 through July 23.

On Mondays, June 18th, June 25th, July 2nd, July 9th and July 15th, we'll meet at 10:30 am at the library for a variety of programs, crafts and over-all fun, alternating with music and sicence.  This will include working with rocks.  On June 18th we'll paint them with Heidi, from the UW-Extension 4-H office.  Each Monday will be something a little different.  Movie & pop corn, polishing rocks, forming a band, growing & breaking open crystals.  Don't forget the reading challenge. Keep checking back for what's coming.  You never know, someone from space could be in Poy Sippi!

We'll end the summer on Monday, July 23rd with Bill Kehl's program "Earth, Music...Magic" at 6:00 pm in the Poy Sippi Park pavillion.  A special "thank you" to Bug Tussel for sponsoring our end-of-summer event.

Calling All Knitters & Crocheters! Let's Get "Clicking!"

Are you interested in getting together at the library for an hour every once in  a while to knit or crochet purple baby caps?  If so, give Jeanne a call or stop in at the library.  As we gather interested knitters and crocheters, we can pick a day & time.  Why are we doing this?  It's for the babies!   The "Click for Babies" campaign is designed to get people talking about shaken baby syndrome, while providing hats as a reminder that babies can cry a lot and all babies go through this.  For more information about "Click for Babies" visit their website https://www.clickforbabies.org/.

Join the Fun at Story Hour Mondays at 10:30 am - Only 2 Story Hours Left

Come join the fun at Story Hour every Monday, 10:30 am. There are two story hours left before we break for the Summer Reading Program "Let's ROCK!"  Monday, May 7th will be a special day where the children will hear stories about flowers & seeds.  Mrs. Deb will be helping the children get ready for Mother's Day, with a special surprise.  Monday, May 14 will be the last one for this spring.  What better way than to hear all abbout Baby Animals from the farm and out in the wild.  Story Hour will resume in the fall.  Story hour is a great time and I love seeing the children get excited about a story, sing a song or work so diligently on a special project.  From the children, parents & grandparents and the library Board and Director - THANKS! We love what you do!
