Fun With African Drumming

Please join us Wednesday, Aug. 11, for "Fun With African Drumming," a program by local musician Vicki Jenks. Ms. Jenks, who has been to Africa on several occasions, will showcase her collection of African drums and other musical instruments, and will show photos of her time spent in Africa.

The presentation is part of the Read Africa grant received by the library in April. The Poy Sippi library was one of only 16 libraries to receive the grant and the money went towards the purchase of books about Africa for children and young adults. The books are now on display at the library - please come and check them out!
